I am an ideal balance of Softness & Strength #AngelSoft

wildwing with the flag beyonce
Working at Honda Center, home of Anaheim Ducks hockey team (and not a car dealership) is always exciting, crazy, fun and stressful. I have been with my employer faithfully since 1995 and with each pregnancy, I stayed till I was just about to deliver.  The minute my Dr. would sign my release, I was back at work.  I love working and have worked since I was 14 years old.  During my second trimester last year, after a couple months of drama with a new manager - I made one of the hardest career decisions of my life - to go on early maternity leave.  I was suffering from morning sickness and the added stress at work was making me miserable.  This was my last pregnancy and I wanted to enjoy it.  It was challenging to stay strong in the first few weeks.  It was rough.  I wanted to be at work, enjoying our regular season ticket holders, seeing my family of coworkers, watching hockey or a concert and just having a routine.  My mentality has always been that there is stability in working and I genuinely like to provide financially for my family.

In my last month of pregnancy, when I was supposed to be on my actual maternity leave... I finally began to get comfortable in my decision.  I made peace and that mentality immediately made me feel 2x stronger.  I didn't let the evil manager win - I chose my destiny.  To be healthy and rested for the birth of my child.  Angel Soft is an ideal balance of softness and strength, pretty much like me!  Now stronger than ever to hold up better at the value you love!

Angel Soft is now 2x Stronger!  Grab the coupon and try it for yourself!

Peek-A-Boo Baby Where Are You?

The waiting game.

Today is my due date. Still no sign of baby. My husband Chris made last night a little special for me. He went grocery shopping, cooked dinner, washed dishes, we snuggled on the couch and he told me cute things. And now I'm finally ready for this baby.

I should check my Hospital bag again.

I need to write a post-it with other stuff I need to grab: My cellphone, charger, camera, camera charger, wallet... that 2 liter of Cherry Coke my husband bought last night. Mmm... I can't wait till I can drink Cherry Coke. And have some sushi. A couple sunny side up eggs. All things pregnant women shouldn't have.

There's four weeks left in the Spring Semester. I think I'm crazy for taking on as many classes as I did this semester. Especially since I was sick with morning sickness my first trimester and had to drop 2 classes last semester. I need to take another post-it and write the remaining assignments and due dates. After the semester I'll be enjoying my little family - FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER. We're planning on taking advantage of California's Paid Family Leave together and extending my Post-Natal Maternity Leave an extra 6 weeks.

I saw my Dr. on Wednesday and he said if nothing happens, I'll be induced next Friday or Saturday so until then, we're keeping it low-key and waiting around here at home. Wish us luck!
