Getting An Early Digital Copy Of The Amazing Spider-man is AMAZING #SpiderManWMT

We have been waiting patiently for the early release digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man on Vudu.com - We had October 30th circled on our calendar and Duke knew that we would get to watch it the day before Halloween because of the little viewing party I had planned.  What a treat!

We picked up Marketside pizza from Walmart because they are huge, delicious and cheap ($7.98).  Also got a package of Spider-Man masks and fun candy to keep the kids busy with a craft project I had planned out for the party.

I downloaded the Walmart exclusive Spider-Man Web-slinger app on Duke's iPod - he has been having so much fun pointing the iPod at the Marketside Spider-Man pizza box and trying to find the Lizard.   He's been making funny, sad and serious faces that he uses in the Spider-Man comic (even using his toys in place of Spider-Man's face and making me laugh so hard) - and he'll be able to do more with the app once we get the dvd in the mail.
 
The day for our party came and sadly, every single one of our guests cancelled out because they didn't feel like partying during Hurricane Sandy.  Totally understandable.  The whole East coast is in our hearts but a party is what NY native Spider-Man would've wanted!    

My husband Chris is hilarious.  Trying to keep us in good spirits!

I went ahead and did the craft project while Duke watched.  Hubby was kinda amazed I pulled it off.  I kinda amazed myself too.  Duke thinks it is pretty cool.  All you need is Red Vines, Chocolate Twizzlers and mini marshmallows.

Watching on Vudu.com is easy - I logged into our account on my husband's laptop, clicked "Watch Movies" then "My Vudu" and The Amazing Spider-Man was ready for viewing!  I just had to connect our HDMI cord from laptop to our tv.  

I laughed so hard when Peter Parker did a WebMD search for his symptoms.  Raise your hand if you are guilty of this.

After looking at various spiders and bites...

Duke so excited that he's finally in his Spidey suit.  (He put that skeleton hand on our tv a couple weeks ago - we love it!)

Superheroes rank high in my home.  Right in between pizza and ice cream.  So when we heard that we could go to Walmart to pre-purchase the DVD and receive an early digital copy online - we were all over it.  This was our first time doing this and it was so easy.  Just look for The Amazing Spider-Man Pre-Purchase display at Walmart, grab the box (looks like a regular DVD) and pay for it.  When you get home, open the box and follow the directions.  It took me less than a minute to redeem my movie on Vudu.com so I can watch the digital copy online on October 30th!  I'll be receiving the actual hard copy DVD a couple days before the movie's official November 9th release date!

My 6 year old Duke loves The Amazing Spider-Man!

Not only does he want the movie but wants Spider-Man toys too.  We suggested he add 'em to his Christmas wishlist.

We're all set for October 30th!  I added it to our calendar for Duke.  He will be counting down the days!
