The minute it turns October 1st on the calendar, we are automatically in ultra Halloween mode and filling our days with everything Halloween. We pull out our boxes from storage and the scary decorations go up. We decide what fun things we want to do and what we don't want to do. One thing I'm always looking for is not-so-scary Halloween fun for the littles. We're all about cute characters and celebrating with our favorites! In fact, our favorite monkey Curious George has a brand new full-length movie airing on October 28th on PBS and it's his first-ever Halloween special! Before we even started the movie, Duke read Curious George Goes to a Costume Party to us. We spent a week planning and shopping for Duke and Omar's costumes - so both of them could relate to George trying on costumes. They laughed at the thought of a monkey trying on costumes! It was the perfect story to set the stage for the movie. After the story, we talked about other costumes (because who doesn't want more than one costume every year), more pumpkins, other spooky stories and where we would be trick-or-treating this year.
In Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest we're introduced to the spooky mystery of No Noggin - A ghost who shows up every Halloween ready to kick the hats off the heads of trick-or-treaters. George sets out to solve the eerie mystery! The brand-new, one-hour movie airs on Monday, October 28 on PBS KIDS. Also available on DVD at pbskids.org/curiousgeorge
I absolutely adore quality time with my boys - there is nothing cuter than finding one of your kids reading to another one. Love love love that Curious George books are bilingual.
His little shocked face was probably because he had the book upside down. Silly baby!
