Make A Mirror Site Of Your Blog

I learned the hard way.  At the end of August, I found out my other blog was hacked.  I've had it since 2008, it was my baby before I decided to rebrand.  You know why it got hacked?  I didn't update Wordpress or any of it's plug-ins for about a year, hackers found a security breach and got in, changed my password and installed a virus which caused Google to red flag my site.  I thought everything was gone but thanks to my amazing host Erica, she was able to have it cleaned out and my password restored.  It took a couple weeks of not knowing it's future though.  I was heartbroken thinking that everything could be gone forever.

When everything was clean on the backend, I had to request Google re-scan my site.  I finally logged into Wordpress and saw all my posts were there so I did a Google search on how to move my posts to Blogger so I could have a free mirror site of my blog.  It was easy!  It took me less than 15 minutes to successfully transfer 198 posts.  Best blogging idea I've ever had and you should do it too. You never know what could happen.
