With the birth of our son Omar earlier this year, we've been in the market for a bigger, sleek SUV. The most important factors for us are size, good gas mileage, safety, looks (I would be lying if I said looks didn't matter for our next SUV) and PRICE!
We checked out the LA Auto Show this week and I fell in love with the Nissan Pathfinder. Everything about it fit our needs and my checklist. The 2013 model has 7 seats, 3 rows and introduces the new Latch and Glide technology on the second row. This basically means that the second row seat bottom folds up and the seat slides forward! It also works when a child safety seat is in place. Flexible seating means its easier to access the third row! No more working up a sweat to get everyone in! The second and third row also fold flat to accommodate cargo!
A feature that Duke pointed out is the Tri-Zone Entertainment system. Up front, Chris and I can enjoy our music. The kids in the second row can watch movies, play video games, plug in a laptop, all on dual 7-inch DVD monitors, listening on two wireless headsets. The entire system can be controlled through the touch-screen display on the dash. Perfection! Especially for the big road trip I'm trying to push next year!
Chris loved the Around View Monitor. It consists of 4 cameras that shows images on the touch-screen monitor and helps drivers manuever into parking spots with ease. The Pathfinder looks and feels hip. It is innovative and premium. I know we're sold on the Nissan Pathfinder - Hoping Santa gets our letter!

There she is! The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder - What a beauty! Her gorgeous coat of paint is an eye-stopper!
So she looks good but what can she do - 26 MPG on the highway! We road-tripped from Southern California to Houston, Texas in 2010 - comfort and getting good gas mileage is important for us! But how much - The 2013 Pathfinders start at $28,270!
This is definitely one of the popular vehicles at the LA Auto Show - I couldn't just take a picture of the Nissan Pathfinder alone so why not show off everyone admiring it!
