California Pizza Kitchen Challenge: Feed A Family Of 6 For $75

Disclosure: We partnered with California Pizza Kitchen.  All thoughts are my own.

Our last day in Orlando was spent indoors because it was stormy.  A little rain never bothered us but at some points it was really pouring down hard with thunder and lightning.  We finally ventured out for dinner at Mall at Millenia - the kids love seeing a little bit of home when we travel.  Familiar restaurants and stores are always appealing to them, it makes them feel comfy.  One thing they did notice is that there are an unusually large number of nods to California, especially at the Orlando Premium Outlets - so many souvenir California shirts, the Vans store... so when they saw California Pizza Kitchen they wanted to eat there.  I was all for it because I wanted to enjoy healthier options and have a sit down dinner on our last night in Florida.  The budget was $75 before tax and tip.  Do you think we made our budget?

Yes we did!  It was close but we did it!  I have 2 growing teens so no more $5 kids meal options for them and sharing is out of the question.  I'm surprised they are fairly lean with as much as they eat!  The food was yummy and staff were so good to us!  Thanks Pat & Iymani (so sorry if I'm slaughtering your name)

The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, FL is absolutely gorgeous but check out the humidity on the windows!

A little bit of home during our vacation!  Whether you are a local or tourist, if CPK is an option, you should try it out!

Is it me or do you look for this sign everywhere?

Watermelon, Feta and Strawberry Salad is one of California Pizza Kitchen's Seasonal Features!  But what caught my eye is the $4.75 price tag!  Another seasonal feature is Vanilla Bean Smores.  And now, CPK proudly serves Coca-Cola products!

I love open kitchens!  You can see the action and smell the goodness!

My husband Chris almost always orders a Strawberry Lemonade if it's on the menu.

My 7 year old son Duke who has been without Minecraft for about 5 days was drawing creepers on napkins

I ordered the Jambalaya Fettucine but asked for penne instead!  You can substitute any pasta!  And CPK does Adult Mac 'N' Cheese - not on the menu but just ask for it!

Chris and Ty ordered the Chicken Piccata and they inhaled it.  Ty is really picky and I'm shocked he liked it.  He knows good food!

Damien ordered the Chicken Milanese.  He's our child that will try anything but little did I know he would inhale his plate too.

We got to sample Butter Cake at the urging of the manager and we're all happy we didn't say no.  Hot cake with ice cream is what dreams are made of.

OMG, butter cake is everything.

So sad they converted to Coke products! I love my Diet Pepsi.

I LOVE CPK and was really sad when our local one closed down. :(

But, it looks like you all got a great deal for a family of 6. It is hard to go out to eat when you are on a budget but it's nice to see that it is doable.

PS all the food looks amazing!!!
