Tyson Project A+ Is For Homeschools Too!

Have you heard about the Tyson Project A+ program?  It's Tyson's program where you clip and save labels from their specially marked packages (over 30+ chicken products), give it to your school and your school gets the cash!  Up to $12,000 per year!  Each label is worth 24¢ so 100 labels = $24.  That is money we're all just throwing away!  It is that easy to give back to your school!  I'm especially excited because the Tyson Project A+ funds can be used for anything your school needs - supplies, equipment, activities, parties!  I started homeschooling Duke last year when he was in 1st grade and the way his program works is that we have to turn in paperwork with our teacher once a month at an actual campus.  Throughout the year there are many activities like parties, field trips and art/talent shows!  We had a blast at the Halloween party and it would be lovely to have some extra money to help out!

Tyson Project A+ funds can be used for anything your schools needs – supplies, equipment, activities, and more. To make sure your collection program has the most impact, check with school administrators and teachers for suggestions. Concentrating funds for a single, clearly defined goal will be more effective than spreading the funds too widely. You can set a goal for a semester or for the whole school year. Once the school community sees the results, it will be easy to build future participation.

First you Look Up Your School - if they aren't enrolled like ours isn't - you can Enroll Your School.  It is super easy to enroll and takes less than a minute!  All I needed was our school's phone number and address - the program is open to public, private, schools and yes even homeschools - preschool, elementary, jr. and high schools!

When you have your collection program in place, you take those labels and mail them to Tyson using their Redemption Form and in 4-6 weeks your check will arrive!

When I'm editing pictures for blog posts, my kids always comment at how lucky I am that the food served at blogger events are always on a stick so I decided to surprise them and make a quick & easy dinner for them!  They loved it so much and I think I got special points from them for being so cool!

I had no idea this program existed! My daughter's school closed this summer (her last day of *camp* was Friday). It broke my heart when they announce this last winter so with her next school, I'm giving back as much as I can.

I think it's great that any school type can use this program because all schools are under funded these days!

What a nifty idea! Maybe you could do tater tot and chicken kabobs too! Now if only yu could add mini corn on the cob that would be awesome sauce.
